Answers Back - #thoughtsandprayers is a panel discussion about the definition of ‘Tragedy’, exploring reactions to the word, and how deserving events are of that title. Inspired by the use of the word ‘tragedy’ in the title of Richard II, a panel of young people aged 16-25 will discuss what Tragedy means to them in a world where their daily news feeds are constantly filled with #thoughtsandprayers. Led by the Almeida Young Producers, this discussion is an opportunity for an open and honest exploration on the topic. They will explore modern day definitions of ‘Tragedy’, what it means to different groups of affected people, and whether King Richard’s story should really be classed as one. How can we add something more meaningful than a hashtag?
