In an artistic union like no other, dancers from Gypsy Passion will join forces with The Life Drawing Gymnasia to create an evening of flamenco and Hungarian gypsy dance, live guitar and singing, storytelling and nude modelling based on Tales From Ovid and other Greek myths. The first 45 minutes will take the form of the theatrical show, 'The Magician and the Statue' with choreography by David Kallo. Dancers from Gypsy Passion will tell you the story of a god-like statue and his journey based on Tales from Ovid. Andrew Crayford from The Life Drawing Gymnasia will perform as the statue and pose so that you can draw him while the dancers perform. There will then be a 15 minute pose in conclusion to the story so that you can draw everybody. In the second half there will be 4 x 15 minute poses based on Greek Mythology. Complete beginners are welcome as well as experienced artists. There is plenty of show going on as well as plenty to draw so you can choose whether to draw everything or relax and watch. Drawing materials are provided.
