Let's Talk is a chilled night of creativity, freedom of Speech and a chance for you to join us and explore social issues in a relaxed space through the arts, debate and conversation. Come along to Battersea Arts Centre, where you will hear the innovative voices of thought provoking spoken word advocates. Anita Barton-Williams is an emerging artist in the London poetry scene with an interest in exploring Black British womanhood; both lived and shared experiences through her work. She is founder of Heaux Noire the UK’s first Open Mic night dedicated to Women of Colour that aims to provide a platform and safe space for WOC to share their work. Caleb Femi is the Young People’s Laureate for London. He is also an English teacher, filmmaker and photographer. Caleb has performed at Roundhouse, Barbican, British Library, Royal Festival Hall and many festivals including Latitude, Ed Fringe, Boomtown, Lovebox and Greenbelt. As a filmmaker, Caleb has released two documentaries What Did Love Taste Like In The 70s? and Heartbreak & Grime. Plus special guest to be announced !
