Silent Faces tackle complex issues through physical comedy, finding that the best way to talk about the ‘hard stuff’ is to start by making people laugh. In this new work-in-progress, they smash together clowning with beautiful visual imagery and physical theatre, viewing mental health through a new lens. Questioning why we find it hard to appreciate the struggle faced by those suffering from depression, and exploring how destroying the stigma around mental health could help, A Clown Show About Rain explains why being asked to ‘cheer up’ is sometimes a ridiculous request.
