Sick of the endless stereotypes of the northerner as the clown, fool, or someone that lives such a dire life they must escape and move to the wonderful South, suppressing their identity, accent and heritage in order to make it…? TALK PROPA is a celebration of northern accents on stage. Two women from across ‘The North’ of England explore their relationship to their accent and give depth to traditionally one-dimensional portrayals of what it is to be a northern woman on stage. Through comedy, movement and projections, they demolish the concept of a ‘generic northern accent’ taking on the stereotypes to reveal what lies beneath. Age Recommendation: 12+
