What’s out there is war. A promenade performance that uses the city ‘as it is’ to overlay a narrative onto incidental events, people and existing architecture. Passers-by and their actions serve as oblivious players in the story, and the architecture and landscape provide the backdrop to a new ‘fictional’ town. They Will Find Us Sleeping is a transportable site-specific performance using visual arts, storytelling, installation and soundscape. In an exercise of unplugged augmented reality, the show explores manipulation, loneliness and consensus. Three groups of audiences are led by the three performers through a simultaneous journey with a common point of departure and arrival where mirrored and crossing images will happen. The show is funny, disconcerting and strangely beautiful.
