"My Postcode War is a bit different to that, it’s a fight, but it’s a fight to have somewhere to call home. It’s mine and my families struggle through the minefield that is homelessness. No this isn’t your stereotypical crack addict, life of crime and now it’s time they do their time on the streets – that story peddled by the media to keep us complicit. No this is my homeless and I don’t need a newspaper, or a statistic or a BBC Panorama Documentary to tell my story. Cause this is the one they don’t tell and they won’t tell. It’s about families and children and high-risk individuals in dangerous, downright dehumanising and depressing situations… created by a system that isn’t meant to serve us."
