The West End takeover by the small-scale but deliciously formed new British musicals continues as this romantic comedy, starring Dear Evan Hansen’s Sam Tutty as Dougal, an optimistic but naïve young Brit arriving in New York to be met by Robin (Dujonna Gift), a native New Yorker, hits the West End in April. Writer Kit Buchan and composer Jim Barne are already award-winners for this show, and it comes trailing delighted reviews from the Kilburn run but also the devoted following necessary to sustain a shot at West End glory.

About Two Strangers (carry a cake across New York)

Dougal is a naive, impossibly upbeat Brit, flying to New York for his Dad’s second wedding. The Dad he’s never known. Waiting for him at the airport is Robin, the sister of the bride. She’s a native New Yorker, she’s late for work, and she doesn’t have time to stop and see the sights. Instant attraction? Definitely not. But with an extravagant wedding approaching and the city at their feet…anything could happen. Age Recommendation: 12+ Content: Contains occasionally strong language and themes of sexual references
