Drag king & vocalist Mr Brake Down presents an evening with the wit, wisdom, & unstoppable force of one of the music scene's most eccentric and iconic blues artists, Mr Tom Waits. In this unique tribute show which covers many of Waits's seminal blues hits, Brake's vocal impersonation & visual illusions will take you on a wild ride of wine, women, & song. Taking on the personality, gravelly voice & witty eccentricities of blues legend Tom Waits, Mr Brake Down introduces audiences to a variety of his most iconic, comedic & musically brilliant pieces. Live vocals include rousing quirky songs such as The Piano Has Been Drinking, belting blues numbers in the vein of Heartattack & Vine and Downtown Train, & queer monologues like What’s He Building In There?. Between songs, anecdotes & observations with the audience are delivered in the truly eccentric Waits style in this show where the artforms of drag, tribute & live entertainment collide.
