The play 'blue bottles' explores the possibilities of seemingly conversational banality told through the many eyes of two unlikely characters... oh, by the way, they're flies... those characters are flies! The play begins with an introduction of two opposing characters and develops their relationship with conversations about a collection of random thoughts and opinions, ranging from potentially unimportant discussions about roman gladiators and how a fly sleeps to the deepest parts of their ideologies. It explores themes of loneliness and how maybe, just maybe, a conversation with someone new can help you understand the world in a better way. To do this, it adopts techniques of immersive sound scapes and dialogue while contrasting a physically intriguing piece of live theatre, to bring the audience a technically engaging piece of theatre.
