Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss’ small scale hit has been a surprise success featuring Henry VIII’s wives singing their stories and demonstrating that they are queens in more ways, and not just because they married old Henry. It’s a show that takes a pop at history with real vim. It’s witty too. When Jane Seymour asks what hurts more than a broken head, Anne Boleyn shoots back: “a severed head.” It’s sassy, it’s silly but it is also very serious about the points it makes about women, survival and narratives of victimhood. There are still tickets available for a pre-Xmas treat, and the sheer zest of the show and risk in getting it on at all in the current circumstances deserves to be rewarded by your presence.

About Six

SIX, ‘the most uplifting piece of new British musical theatre,’ (Evening Standard) is holding court at London’s Lyric Theatre for a strictly limited season. Prepare to Lose Ur Head! Critically acclaimed with a spectacularly successful studio album adored on playlists across the globe, The New York Times royally decreed that SIX is ‘pure entertainment’! This sell-out intoxicating Tudor take-off has ‘an incredibly strong and powerful message. Boundary-pushing, genre-redefining’ (The Australian) and is ‘a total blast’ (Chicago Tribune). From Tudor Queens to Pop Princesses, the six wives of Henry VIII take to the mic to tell their tales, remixing five hundred years of historical heartbreak into an 80-minute celebration of 21st-century girl power. Book now and Get Down to the homegrown histo-remixed pop-concert musical by Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss at the Queens’ temporary castle, the Lyric Theatre, Shaftesbury Avenue! **E-Tickets** Online Venue Check-In: Please note you will be contacted by the venue 48 hours before the performance with instructions on how to check-in and retrieve your e-ticket.
