The celebrated Kyiv City Ballet left the Ukraine in February 2022 for a highly anticipated tour of France. One day later war broke out in their country. The company were stranded and unable to return home. Now, over a year on, war still rages in their home country forcing this company of extraordinary dancers to remain in exile. Despite this the Kyiv City Ballet has gone from strength to strength, daily training, devising new programmes as well as reprising old classics and thrilling those who are able to experience their performances. The Peacock Theatre welcomes the Kyiv City Ballet for their premiere London performances of A Tribute to Peace. Presenting a varied programme from a selection of their favourite pieces including Les Sylphides, a fragment from the ballet Tribute to Peace (choreographed by Ivan Kozlov), Carmen, Sirtaki, and Men of Kyiv (a Ukrainian folk dance). This is a special evening of ballet offering a unique event to show support for the people of Ukraine. This production features haze effects. Children under five are not allowed to attend this performance.
