About Twelfth Night
In the country of Illyria, twins Viola and Sebastian find themselves shipwrecked and separated after a violent storm, leaving them both believing each other to be dead. Here begins a journey of discovery within and through the rich and beautifully flawed characters of Twelfth Night. The production explores what happens when people try to fix their insides by changing their outsides. What happens to the characters as they relentlessly pursue their heart desires, at all cost. Through this examination of the misapplication of the use of will, themes such as identity, loss, addiction, are deployed to confront all of us with a world we know too well - without ever leaving love and joy aside for too long. We bring these characters into focus on the same nights they were meant to party hundreds of years ago. In French, that time of the year is called Épiphanie; a time for light to be shed and revelations to be had. All One Theater Company, an internationally diverse company of actors are known for their inclusivity, their daring nature to dive into epic stories as one, and their strong intention to highlight the similarities of worlds that stand centuries apart.
