PLEASE LEAVE explores the impending climate crisis, which vibrates beneath the work. ClusterFlux use karaoke, personal story-telling and choreographed dance sequences to examine the role communication, messages and storytelling can play in exploring the realities of ecological disaster. This performance encapsulates the joy of living in the moment, our fears for an uncertain future and our complex relationship to the past. Examining different modes and failures of communication, ClusterFlux become scientists, linguistic experts and karaoke superstars in an attempt to communicate a danger 10,000 years into the future. This place is a message. Pay attention to it. ClusterFlux are a performance collective of local and international graduates of the MA in Advanced Theatre Practice from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama (2021). Their practice uses processes of re-describing; examining an idea through as many lenses and forms as possible to explore how notions of the self operate within a collective, how stories are shaped and how meanings change. Together with live video and sound production, they are dedicated to producing innovative collaborative work. All performances include creative captioning. This show contains loud bass, sub bass tones and flashing lights that may cause discomfort. Age Recommendation: 12+
