Women On The Edge is a music theatre piece about single motherhood. The play text moves between how single mothers frantically juggle work and parenting in an increasingly de-personalised work environment today and the harshness of austerity after the Second World War - both which betray the hopes some women had for the better lives they fought for in the Second Wolrd War. Expect songs, poignant humour and movement and characters pushed to their limits. This piece is funded by The Arts Council and is a sharing of work in progress with selected scenes from the play. There will be feedback forms and informal chats in the bar afterwards to discuss the issues and test your feedback.
