Calling lovers of physical theatre, music and the surreal! Mother’s dead, but she can still make us veggie burgers on a Tuesday. Welcome to a home in the throes of bereavement. A father and son try to rationalise the loss of a wife and mother. But what is death? And how can we possibly confront this ultimate phenomenon? 'Let Go Home' is an interdisciplinary performance founded in autobiography, drawing on physical play, live percussion, piano & vocals, breathtaking images and absurd text. Performers and audience enter a space of unknowing, attempting to quantify grief’s mysteries. As days blur with dreams, rituals unfold and belongings are hoarded. A spirit is trapped in a suitcase. Or perhaps in the falafel-maker, the china, the birdsong. In a post-pandemic world, 'Let Go Home' responds to our latent desire to talk more openly about death. An offer to enter a shared space of connection. We all need to dialogue about our griefs. We all need to laugh. Join this international ensemble, from Paris and Athens to London and Glasgow, for a uniquely strange world premiere. Performed in English, French, Swedish and Russian. Age Recommendation: 12+
