Eugene is far from the most popular kid at school. He’s a geek, laughed at by the cool kids and happiest when he’s inside his own make-believe world. This world features Tough Man, a superhero who, unlike Eugene, isn’t afraid of anything. When Eugene’s Tough Man comics come into contact with a film producer, however, Eugene suddenly finds himself being flown off to Hollywood. All his troubles are over – or are they? From scheming movie moguls to on-set nemeses, the world of Tough Man is suddenly becoming a little too real…

Eugenius musical London cast & creatives
Eugenius is created by Ben Adams and Chris Wilkins, who provided book, music and lyrics for the show. Ben Adams is a British singer-songwriter and former member of the boyband A1. He has also appeared on several reality TV competition shows. Onstage, he has starred in shows such as Cinderella and Flashdance The Musical. Chris Wilkins is a writer who made his career debut with Eugenius.
The original concert staging of Eugenius at the London Palladium was co-directed by Ian Talbot and Michael Jibson. It was produced by Kevin Wood, George Wood & Warwick Davis, the latter of which starred as Evil Lord Hector.
This new production will appear at the Turbine Theatre in Battersea and will feature direction from Hannah Chissick. Chissick has directed over 300 musicals and plays and was the youngest woman ever to become an artistic director when she joined Harrogate Theatre at 25.
