Set in 50s New York the show follows Nathan Detroit who is struggling to find a location for the underground craps game that he runs as well as dealing with his fiancée Adelaide, who is desperate for him to settle down and get engaged. Meanwhile gambler Sky Masterson bets with Nathan that he can get Sarah Brown, a mission worker, to go on a date with him leading to a web of romantic entanglements.
