It’s a culture clash, told through the lens of a Nigerian chef and her Ghanaian fiancé. Historically, Africans have debated who makes the tasty dish best. Gail Egbeson is an award-winning playwright and actress. Her writing is influenced by her time spent in Nigeria where she completed 10 years of education. Gail has an MA in acting from the University of East London where she started writing poetry, spoken word and theatre. Jollof Wars is Gail’s first full length play. JOLLOF WARS was commissioned into a full length piece by Purple Moon Drama. It has toured to schools and community theatres as a celebration of black culture during Black History Month in 2019.
