Journey from crime-soaked London to desolate Devonshire and back again. Be enthralled by Holmes and Watson (and a cast of shadowy suspects) as you sit back and enjoy three lavish courses, each woven into the heart of the story, with an expansive menu of mind-blowing cocktails.
Opening on 12th March 2024, The Great Murder Mystery at The Lost Estate has been delighting audiences with its gripping performances, and dark yet glamourous representation of Victorian England. With extra attention to detail in set design, costumes, props, and music unfolding all around you, you’ll be immersed into the era of the time, whilst you’re waited on and dine!
With its 5,000 square foot space, with room for 250 diners, reviews have been calling The Great Murder Mystery “a runaway success” and tickets are going fast! The evening focusses around a low stage, with other stages dotted around, beautifully combining a set and restaurant together to create a truly immersive experience. You’ll be served some wonderful dishes including a duck & egg starter with béarnaise, on toasted brioche and a honey & lemon dressing. Spring Chicken with black truffle mousse and Pommes Anna for main. And, Devonshire strawberries (sticking to the locational themes of the show) with vanilla mousse and champagne sorbet. For the vegetarians, Fire-roasted tomato, green olive “catsup”, fresh tomato, asparagus & piquillo pepper ratatouille will start your meal. The main dish is a fresh tortellini filled with burrata, smoked garlic crema, garden pea pesto & toasted pine nuts.

All tickets include a three course meal with options for those of you out there with dietary requirements (vegans, GF etc… *call in adavance to let them know). The menu is designed and cooked by the Executive chef Mr. Ashley Clarke, Esq, Formerly of SmokeStak, Gordon Ramsay Group, Temper Soho. Now, The Lost Estate.
The creatives of the show include writer and adaptor Kate Ferguson, and director Simon Pittman. With the wonderful cast being made up of Samuel Collings in the iconic role of Sherlock Holmes, and Wella Mbusi as Dr Watson with an ensemble of suspects supporting them (Ruby Ablett in the role of Beryl Stapleton, Joseph Reed as Jack Stapleton, Dorcas A. Stevens as Henri Baskervile, Stephan boyce as alternative Dr Watson, Risha silvera as alternative Beryl/Henri, and David Alwyn as an alternative Sherlock Holmes). Working alongside these performers to create a succulent and suspenseful evening are an extremely talented group of musicians, musically directed by Guy Button.
