Desperate to reclaim their home, the ghostly Maitlands enlist Beetlejuice’s help to scare the new owners away. But summoning the “ghost with the most” leads to mayhem, mischief, and a lot of laughs.
The original film, directed by Tim Burton and starring Michael Keaton, Winona Ryder, and Geena Davis, became a huge critical and commercial success—grossing nearly $60 million and winning an Academy Award for Best Makeup. The musical adaptation premiered on Broadway in 2019 and was nominated for eight Tony Awards, including Best Musical and Best Original Score. With riotously fun numbers like “The Whole Being Dead Thing” and “Dead Mom,” Beetlejuice musical leans into its macabre roots while turning up the volume on humour and heart.
Beetlejuice is officially coming to London’s West End, opening at the Prince Edward Theatre on 20 May 2026. Based on the Tony-nominated Broadway show featuring a book by Scott Brown and Anthony King, the musical brings wit, dark humour, and sharp comedic flair to the stage.
The devilish score is by Eddie Perfect, whose musical theatre credits include Shane Warne: The Musical and work on Strictly Ballroom. His energetic, irreverent songs became a fan favourite in the Broadway run and are sure to delight London audiences.
