About A Midsummer Night’s Dream
When a bitter quarrel shakes the fairy kingdom, four lovers on the run and an unsuspecting weaver named Bottom are swept into an enchanted forest, where chaos and trickery reign under the mischievous guidance of Puck. Desires twist and hearts falter, lost and found again, in a world where dreams collide with reality and the impossible feels within reach. Directed by Atri Banerjee (The Glass Menagerie; Julius Caesar, RSC) and brought to life with folk-inspired music by Maimuna Memon (Portia Coughlan; The Grapes of Wrath, National Theatre), this joyful new production celebrates Shakespeare’s most magical comedy under the open sky.
