Listening changes everything. In 1984 East Germany, a writer and an actor come under intense state surveillance, as a Stasi officer watches from the attic above their apartment, searching for signs of dissent. Yet the act of observing another life begins to blur boundaries, quietly reshaping the watcher as much as the watched. Starring Academy Award nominee Keira Knightley, Emmy Award winner Stephen Dillane, and Olivier Award nominee Luke Thompson, The Lives of Others arrives at the Adelphi Theatre for a strictly limited run from 14 October 2026. Written and directed by Olivier Award winner Robert Icke, this adaptation of the Oscar-winning film explores censorship, surveillance, and the uneasy link between art and power.
