About Mrs. Doubtfire

YOO-HOO DEARIES! A hilarious and heartfelt story about holding onto your loved ones against all odds, Mrs. Doubtfire is the musical comedy we need right now. Out-of-work actor Daniel will do anything for his kids. After losing custody in a messy divorce, he creates the alter ego of Scottish nanny Euphegenia Doubtfire in a desperate attempt to stay in their lives. As his new character takes on a life of its own, Mrs. Doubtfire teaches Daniel more than he bargained for about how to be a father.

The Story Unfolds: Origins and Evolution

Mrs Doubtfire The Musical is based on the 1993 film starring the late Robin William and directed by Chris Columbus. When voice actor and father of three Daniel Hillard finds out that his estranged wife Miranda is taking sole custody of the kids in their divorce, he is devastated. But a classified ad advertising a nanny for the Hillard kids offers an unorthodox solution.

Posing as nanny Euphagenia Doubtfire, Daniel manages to assemble a convincing disguise and is suddenly back in his kids’ lives – albeit as an eccentric Scottish woman. But his act can’t last forever, and Daniel needs to figure out a permanent solution before he loses his kids for good…
Packed full of hilarity, heart and a score full of original songs, Mrs Doubtfire The Musical tells a story of parental love that remains just as relevant nearly thirty years after the original film. Don’t miss out on this celebrated production.
