
Les Misérables has been running in London's West End since October 8, 1985, making it the longest-running musical in the West End and one of the longest-running musicals in the world! It is an all-time favourite amongst theatre lovers, and continues to draw crowds at The Sondheim Theatre.
Les Misérables has had many renowned musical theatre talents starring in its main roles such as Alfie Boe as Jean Valjean (2011), Carrie Hope-Fletcher as Eponine (2001), Nick Jonas as Marius (2010), Philip Quast as Javert (1989), Matt Lucas as Master Thenardier (2011), Kerry Ellis as Fantine (2005) and Patti Lupone taking on the role in the original West End production.

Taking on the roles of the famous love triangle Marius, Eponine and Cosette are Jacob Dachtler as Marius, Amena El-Kindy as Eponine, and Annabelle Aquino as Cosette.
Ian McIntosh takes on the iconic role of 24601, otherwise known as Jean Valjean, with his rival Javert being played by Stewart Clarke (previously seen in Be More Chill, Cabaret, and Fiddler on the Roof whilst it was at The Menier Chocolate Factory.
In the role of Enjolras, singing the song red and black from the top of the barricade is Robson Broad. Katie Hall (Phantom of The Opera & West Side Story UK Tours) is in the role of Fantine. Thénardier is played by Luke Kempner, alongside Claire Machin as Madame Thénardier.
The company is completed by Matt Bateman, Michael Baxter, Emily Olive Boyd, Daniel J Brian, Ella May Carter,Adam Colbeck-Dunn, Matthew Dale, Irfan Damani, Sophie-May Feek, Matt Hayden, Christopher Jacobsen, Jessica Johns-Parsons, Sam Kipling, Anouk van Laake, Mia Lamb, Sarah Lark, Matthew McConnell, Aaron-Jade Morgan, Ben Oatley, Adam Pearce, Jordan Simon Pollard, Danielle Rose, Jonathan Stevens, Georgia Tapp, Noah Thallon, and Imaan Victoria.
The creative team behind Les Misérables are composer Claude-Michel Schönberg, lyricist Alain Boublil, and additional English lyrics by Herbert Kretzmer. Origally directed by Trevor Nunn and co-directed by John Caird, with current directors being Laurence Connor and James Powell.
