Playing at the beautiful The Royal Drury Lane from August 2021 - September 2024, Frozen was the much-loved musical based on the Disney film by the same name, and was Nominated for 13 WhatsOnStage Awards, including Best New Musical!
In the Disney film, which included the famous songs; Let It Go, Love is an Open Door and Do You Want to Build a Snowman?, the ice cold Elsa was played by Idina Mensel, the feisty and heart-warming Anna played by Kristen Bell, and the endearing snowman Olaf was voiced by Josh Gad.

Samantha Barks achieved fame from the BBC TV talent show I'd Do Anything in 2008. In 2010 she then made her West End debut in the role of Eponine in Les Miserables. Then, in 2012 she played the same role in the film directed by Tom Hooper for which she won an Empire Award for Best Female Newcomer.
Samantha embodied the role of Elsa for the entirety of its run, and in 2022 she received a nomination for an Olivier Award for Best Actress in a Musical. We look forward to seeing what exciting Samantha will go on to do next!
When the show closed in September 2024 Stephanie McKeon was playing the role of Anna. Stephanie was nominated for an Olivier and a WhatsOnStage Award for her performance in the role.
Who played the loveable snowman, Olaf, in Frozen the musical?
Craig Gallivan was Olaf. Craig is a Welsh actor renowned for his role as Luke in the Sky1 series Stella, and the role of Callum Watson in Footballers' Wives. From 2018 to 2019, he starred as Dewey in the musical School of Rock, and he played the role of Olaf in Frozen from the shows opening in 2021.
Who played Kristoff and Sven in the cast of Frozen?
Obioma Ugoala was in the role of mountain man Kristoff. His previous theatre credits include working with the RSC (Hamnet, Richard II, Henry V), Shakespeare's Globe (Holy Warriors, Anthony and Cleopatra) and the Donmar Warehouse (The Physicists).
Mikayla Jade and Ashley Birchall shared the role of the beloved reindeer and loyal companion of Kristoff, Sven. Originally from Adelaide Mikayla appeared in season 7 of Australia's The Voice (2018). Ashley Birchall's theatre credits include West End shows such as Wicked and We Will Rock You.

After three magical years in the heart of London's West End, this musical will surely be missed by its adoring and loyal fans. But! Disney Theatrical Group have said that school children will soon get an opportunity to star in their own rendition of the show! The group will be launching a competition for one school in every region across the UK to win the stage rights and be the first to present the full-length version of the show.
So, don't lose hope, there could be snowflakes and sparkles at a school near you soon!
