Alright, so this plot isn't woke BUT if nostalgia's what you want, that's what you get. The production was made by an all-male (aged 50+) creative team but I actually think they did a solid job. The 80s-esque songs co-written by Bryan Adams are cheesy but pleasant and some genuinely good anthems, especially for Vivian. So nice to see Aimie Atkinson (outside of Six) and she does really well. Danny Mac is a bit wasted as boring Edward but he's lovely too, and makes his dull solos charming enough. Shoutout to Bob Harms/Rachael Wooding for their various exxxcellent roles: I really enjoyed this 🛍🛍🛍Read more →

I accept I am in a minority but this musical is slick professional but soulless. The songs are mediocre and often played very loudly - worst sound system I have heard in a long time one cast member when she sang actually hurt your ears even my three other theatre goers who liked the show more than I found the sound equally poor. The cast are good but the biggest cheer at curtain call went to two supporting roles Bob Harvey as the Happy Man and Alex Charley as the bell boy. Bob Harvey made the show worth watching without him it would have been a rather dull evening.Read more →

The role of Vivan is an iconic role which comes with a lot of expectations. Aimie Atkinson smashes it. She has a beautiful mix of vulnerability and strength. Danny Mac as Edward however lacks any depth. The scene stealing Bellboy gets most of the shows laughs and his dance breaks were a highlight.
But people are going for the feel-good factor and in that respect the music is serviceable.
Despite its flaws it’s definitely fun for a night out with friends. It won’t be for everyone but those going to see it know what to expect.Read more →

Big Mistake. Huge.
I’ve tried to see the show with open mind as from the beginning it was well known the message of ‘Pretty Woman’ didn’t aged very well.
Unfortunately the only saving aspect of the show is talented cast. But great cast won’t help lack of memorable songs and really bad story which was lacking any problems or challenges! The only antagonists we’re shopping assistants in one of the first scenes. Except that plot just go from point A to B without anything happening.
Only slightly better than Big or Sleepless…Read more →

Really disappointed, if you love the movie, you won’t love this. Leading lady didn’t do the character justice and didn’t reflect how she is in the film. If you love the movie you also love the songs and this doesn’t have them so just another love story with some fake American accents. Really disappointed unfortunately and wouldn’t recommend.Read more →

So heartwarming and romantic! I love Tom-come and musicals so this really was the best of both worlds. Some incredible talents in the lead and supporting roles and beautiful costumes. Would see this again in a heartbeat!Read more →

This genuinely felt like a high school production. I haven’t seen the movie but the quality was very low. I’m sure the actors themselves are lovely but they weren’t working with great material.Read more →

If you like the movie this had enough references to be feel good but nothing special. The actors tried to mimic Richard Gere and Julia Roberts which is hard to pull off. Savoy was a great venueRead more →

The performances, bar the bellhop, the concierge and Kit, weren’t very good and the set just looked like something at out of an am-dram show. It wasn’t worth the ticket price at all.Read more →
