I did genuinely enjoy this show - it’s so feel good - and I wholly agree with the hype. It was so much fun and the vibe in the theatre was electric (History of Wrong Guys, anyone?) I haven’t rated it more because I’ve seen a lot of shows and it didn’t quite resonate with me, but my friend who never really goes to the theatre but was a last minute stand-in absolutely loved it and he goes on about how much he enjoyed it quite often! You’ll definitely enjoy it, the songs are incredible and the vocals from the entire cast are insanely good. Suzie McAdam was incredible as Lauren and Momar Diagne as LolaRead more →

3.5 stars I put this off for ages, no reason really, and i'm glad I finally managed to see it! Incredibly fun and I can see why it keeps getting extended. Parts of the story (and a few cast members) were a little weak but in general it was pretty solid, and the dancing in heels was amazing! In fact the drag queens were awesome and stole the show. Reminded me (in tone) of Hairspray/Dreamgirls, though with less catchy songs, unfortch. Great moves & beats however, and I found myself smiling a lot!👠Read more →

Catchy songs, sharp witted humour and a fun night out. Some of the actors had managed to develop a lisp as a result of their fake Northampton accent which made me chuckle but also made them a bit difficult to understand. You could grasp the plot anyway thanks to the main character Lola. She expertly led the show forward in a very entertaining way - the result of good writing and a spectacular actor working in perfect harmony.Read more →

Before attending the show I didn’t know anything about the story so I wasn’t sure what it was going to be like but I have to say **** Boots is now one of my top three favourite musicals. The cast were incredible, the story was wonderful and I would definitely go again. It’s sad to hear that the musical has now closed in the West End but I’ll definitely be looking out for it when it goes on tour later this year!Read more →

Loved it! Fun, fire and sparkles all around, the contrast between an ordinary setting of a shoe factory in a small town of Northern England and the extraordinary character of Lola who just shines and lightens up the soul of everybody she meets and every space she walks in. A must-see before it ends in Jan 2019, this is definitely the best combo between well spent time and well spent money. Such a blast!Read more →

Saw this show at a preview back in 2015 but went again to see it with a friend over from Australia Even though the lead role was played by an understudy I was impressed how fresh and full of energy the show remains. It really is a feel good evening with much to enjoy The standing ovation was on this occasion well deserved Catch it before it closes in January.Read more →

One of the most feel good shows you'll ever see.
**** Boots is heartwarming, funny and has a great message of acceptance and what it really means to be a man.
The songs are brilliant and the cast have a great onstage chemistry with each other.
This show should have lasted much longer than it did in the West end, go and see the tour while you still can!Read more →

Interesting story, larger than life characters and a sensitive touch on societal issues is just some aspects that make this production a must see. The cast is doing a superb job and especially Kayi Ushe gives the performance of a lifetime. An absolutely brilliant modern times musical that deserves a spot in the pantheon of the all time classics.Read more →

Easy on the eye, sparkles and shines, funny performance, nothing not to love. Great staging and choreography. Lead role is fabulous. However, I feel it’s a bit off to match these super American style songs and singing with such a British story and setting. Also the sound in the theatre was not excellent.Read more →
