This show was incredibly dull. Absolutely no criticism to the performers as for thre most part they all had wonderful voices but the ensemble looked tired and made tons of quite painful looking mistakes in the routines. This show seemed to want to throw every warn out theatre troupe in. Actors playing the elements but with little flair and execution. Incredibly disappointed with the staging, particularly when representing the plagues . . . Cheap, unimaginative and for the most part extremely distracting props and set. I hate to say it but this is probably one of the most boring shows I've seenRead more →

⭐️⭐️⭐️ There can be miracles when you believe! Not quite. Good: Christine Allado’s beaut voice, set design, band, underscore, choreography (lovely bodywork) and the Red Sea was cool although was expecting something bigger. Not so good: 10 additional songs were boring, felt rushed/yet also dragged: end result seemed a troubled translation. The lines that were cute in the 90s animation fell flat, Las Vegas style costumes didn’t quite hit the mark&most of the characters were one-dimensional. LOT of spectacle - moments of intimacy got lost&was fairly stuck-in-one-gear&bit messy... shame! 🧺Read more →

I had such high hopes for this musical, having grown up with the bible story and the dreamworks movie. Unfortunately it fell completely flat. The dance numbers are phenomenal and realistically it should just be a dance piece because the stagnant, ‘fill-in’ dialogue and additional songs to the movie butchered the concept. I was also incredibly upset they removed nearly every instance of ****’s power in the story - this is Jewish heritage. It was too dark and explicit for a family show yet not enchanting and engaging enough for other audiences. I was very upset.Read more →

The plot is what it is, not much can be done about that but the actors pulled a tremendous show out of their hats. The stage setting and lighting are awesome and the dancers are mesmerising, absolutely outstanding! The voices are all brilliant . This particular show lost one star because of the lack of chemistry between the understudy who played Moses (Adam Filipe) and Christine Allado as his wife Tzipporah . She acted as if she couldn’t stand him, even in scenes that were supposed to be tender, sweet and romantic.Read more →

Staging and cast absolutely outstanding. However, very disappointing twist to the story. Everyone familiar with the film version and familiar with the biblical versions expects something very different. The story simply doesn’t work with Ramses as a good character. The twist made it odd and all the action seemed to be squeezed into the second act with a very slow first act. Beautiful songs and beautiful performance but just disappointing twist and not amazingly written to reflect the real story.Read more →

Not the best show I’ve seen but still very well done and enjoyable. The dancing was hands down the best part of this show. The leads are very talented and it’s incredibly powerful when the cast sing in unison. The storyline didn’t resonate with me much. And some songs are way better than others. But overall enjoyable and impressive.Read more →

You’ll feel immersed in a lot of scenes because of the great use of stage setup and effects. The choreography was also great, probably one of the best out there. Apart from that, there are scenes that lack polish and feel forced and I feel that the show doesn’t have a true highlight that would have made it a great one.Read more →

I went into this, not expecting something that would blow me away, but at least a good musical. All the songs that aren’t in the movie, are very forgettable. The only thing saving this musical from one star, is the cast doing everything they can with what they’ve been given, and pulling out some great dance numbersRead more →

Still in the previews so may improve. Some of the new songs weren’t needed and felt very forced, running time of 3 hours inc interval felt too long. Cast is amazing & I loved the use of people as set!Read more →

The best part of the show is definitely high quality of the production... except that great lead actor. Unfortunately lacking when it comes to songs which makes it feel a little too longRead more →

The way they use the stage in this show is amazing; An example of this is the parting of the sea. The songs are grandiose and catchy.Read more →
