Have to be honest saw the show twice in Manchester before the first lockdown. Wanted to see it in London to see what changed absolutely nothing. Get ready to be whisked away in a time machine. A Feel good show with memorable songs and original songs, an amazing cast and absolutely mind blowing special Fx That will leave your mouth hitting the floor. PS brace yourself for the last 20 minutes it’s worth it just for that. I’ve seen this show four times now that’s how amazing it is and I will be seeing it a few more times as long as it remains in London on the West End. Massive well done to everyone involved.Read more →

I’ve always been a massive fan of the original film trilogy and when I first saw this show (I’ve seen it 3 times now) I was intrigued by the idea, but I didn’t know what to expect. Well, I was absolutely blown away by this.
Based on the original film of the classic story, but with a brilliantly written score and amazing musical numbers. The effects and staging of this production have got to be seen to believed. Just spectacular. This definitely is a must see show and a truly special one as well. I love everything about this production and I highly recommend seeing it and I can’t wait to see it again too.Read more →

Very faithful to the film. Roger Bart’s Doc is way over the top and I enjoyed about 30% of his performance (where he really was channeling Doc) otherwise it was pretty distracting tbh. Olly Dobson’s Marty was exxcellent and I really enjoyed Biff&George too. We already know a lot of 80s fare doesn’t stand the test of time (why so much lack of consent?) but such a good story nonetheless. Packed full o’ songs and quite a few boring forgettable ones which was a shame BUT the classics were beauties. I have to say the Delorean stuff is FANTASTIC: so fun&convincing&magical, especially right at the end 🛹Read more →

Booked and confirmed tickets through Stagedoor, received an email from London Theatre Direct saying
"While the payment was successful two of your selected seats didn't connect properly with the theatre and so the booking failed with them. As a result the seats were resold to a different customer."
So disappointed, especially as my husband and I are teachers that were so looking forward to this performance in our half term.
No customer service to resolve this, despite repeated tweets to Stagedoor, Michael Hadjijoseph and an email back to LTD.

The high octane freneticism of the movie has been neatly translated into a theatrical experience with all the exuberance of the original — with added corny in-jokes, fantastic special effects and of course, tightly choreographed musical dance numbers.
Things race once Marty (Olly Dobson) is accidentally transported back to 1955 in the now famous DeLorean, with its flux capacitor developed by Doc Brown (a zany comedic turn from Roger Bart).
Alan Silvestri and Glen Ballard’s songs add oomph with “Gotta Start Somewhere” (performed with gusto by Cedric Neal), bringing the house down.Read more →

I visited "Back to the Future" twice, once alone and once with my father, and loved it both times. The classic film, its story and its setting is faithfully and quite authentically recreated. The film's famous gags are retained and performed very well, and the songs add to the emotions, themes, and characters wonderfully alongside being quite memorable. The special effects are absolutely spectacular as well; the DeLorean is quite something to remember.Read more →

The show was ok, the songs were nice in context but I can’t see myself listening to them again, also the sound quality was rather poor (maybe that’s an upper circle thing, I don’t know, I’ve never sat there before). But I did really enjoy the special effects and the lightning design, probably one of the best concepts I’ve seen so far. All in all it was an experience, but I’d choose a different show next timeRead more →

No show will ever compare to this. Easily, the best show I have ever seen. The effects they used to make the delorian look as though it was driving up to 8ph was just out of this world. The end surprise was just worth it. Highly recommend paying extra for the good seats downstairs for this. It’s worth every single penny. Outrageously funny with catchy songs, you will not be disappointed.Read more →

Absolutely incredible. Such a feat to pull this off. Had such amazing production value and everything that went into it was just remarkable, the car on stage, the lighting design, the music. Just the greatest theatrical experience, the atmosphere was indescribable, the response from the crowd, how the actors played off the crowd. I had the best time and loved it so much! Go and see it!!!Read more →
