I’ve always very much loved all of the Matthew Bourne pieces I’ve seen over the years, but I really didn’t love this. There were a few parts I enjoyed and some of the staging was typically Bourne and what you expect from Adventures in Motion Pictures, but a lot of the staging felt cheap and underwhelming. Like panto combined ballet, so much fun. How lucky we are to have Matthew Bourne keep trying to innovate on the classic pieces and bring joy to this miserable time. It’s silly, cute, funny, sexy, **** and **** - colourful and full of magic. With live orchestra this production has even carved the music deeper into my heart :)Read more →
