Quite fun. The play itself took a while to set the social milieu which was a bit tiresome. The setting was brittle and heightened the artificiality, and the performances were OK except for Freddie Fox who dominated every scene he was in and proved his stage skills. Frances Barber was, I think, miscast, and made Mrs Chevely into a grotesque channelling Cruella de Vil. A pity as she is normally marvellous.Read more →
