Went in blind and thoroughly enjoyed it. It was heartwarming, sad and exciting. The music was beautiful and I loved the plot, jumping around between decades was exciting and I loved how it flowed together.Read more →
One of the best new musicials I've seen in years, it creatively tells the story of the social history of Sheffied via a great musical score and incredible acting. I'm so glad I got to see it before it closes.Read more →

There were many things to like about this story of a notorious Sheffield 1960’s concrete high rise. The characters are winning and the multiple time zones seem a little contrived at the start but the overlap of the occupiers of the flat comes together nicely. The big drawback for me were the endless soulful ballads which did not progress the action in any way. Particularly later in what is a long evening one wanted to say. “Not another song - please, get on with the story”.Read more →

Beautiful deep and emotional theatre about life, hope, home and place. There is an imbalance between the incredible depth and pace of the dialogue and the songs that hold the audience in place for a time. I spent the interval wondering what to make of it but it had thoroughly got under my skin by the end. Superb cast. Would recommend and see again.Read more →
