The story is faithful to the original movie but it’s also a funnier, more realistic and darker urban fairytale. Craig Lucas, Daniel Messé and Nathan Tysen’s adaptation has been reworked for the UK audience and Michael Fentiman directs with gusto - in the second half is where this production comes to its own unique sparkle.
