Lots of care and imagination on display, and the acting was without flaw. However, the whole was definitely less than the sum of its parts. When the audience was asked to engage for the third time by standing and reciting an oath to the motherland it was definitely one engagement too far. The whole concept promised more and in the end a dystopian authoritarian set up with ‘art’ and censorship on display just didn’t cut it. A disappointment.Read more →

Wow. Just wow!
It’s rare for me to be fully involved in a play’s plot, but this one is just something you never expect to see and experience. It’s smart, it’s hilarious, it’s brilliantly written, played and staged. Even though the subject is not original, the creators have managed to deliver it with authenticity and beauty that nothing can compare with.
A round of applause for the actors, Jonny Lee Miller is an absolute star.
