Mesmerising for the full 3 hours! 3 hours has never flown by so fast! This is possibly the best play I have ever seen! It really had the dream cast and imelda staunton was...well...I can’t even begin to describe her performance! If you’ve seen her in other shows, you’ll know exactly what she gives. Stunning!Read more →

A phenomenal production of a flawless play. Imelda Staunton is perfect as Martha giving the illusion a bitter middle-aged woman but revealing a heart broken lady not lucky enough to have children. Conleth Hill as George is perfect casting as he captures the mannerisms of him perfectly, portraying a hurt man still recovering from shock himself.Read more →

Imelda Staunton (who I love) was a huge disappointment.. her unsympathetic performance showed none of Martha's vulnerabilities... Martha came over as a spoilt bullying monster impossible to care about.. Conleth Hill's George was believable but lacked nuance. From Row K, most of the lines were lost. Why is distinctive speech delivered with sufficient projection such s problem for theatre practitioners these days?Read more →
