Fascinating piece of spellbinding actors. Three and a half hours long and three actors performing theatrical magic and never a dull moment.
This is an evening to savour and remember. If you miss it you will regret it

If you’re a lover of theatre, just go watch and marvel at the mastery that is on display here. Indeed, once is probably not enough, there’s just so much to take in! Sam Mendes’ production has the look and feel of a post modern history lesson about the Lehman’s performed with 3 incredible actors, instead of teachers, and the results are beyond anything that I’ve ever witnessed in a theatre. Everything from production design, staging, acting, lighting, music, movement, sound, script is on a different level from anything I’ve seen this month, and I’ve seen 10 shows! Oh Simon Russell Beale! Legend!Read more →

A fascinating plot, catchy storytelling with some very witty moments and excellent acting make this show pure bliss. 3 actors constantly on stage tell the story of Lehman brothers from 1843 when the first brother arrived in the US till the default of 2008. They jump in and out of various characters switching gender and age seamlessly. A huge screen as big as the scene sets the mood and a piano accompanies the audience on this amazing journey. The 3rd act is a bit worse than the previous 2 as it covers double the time and doesn't develop as well the storyline. Compelling from start to finish.Read more →

Wonderfully performed, fabulous staging and excellent writing that keeps the narrative pace right up. That said, this does have the feel of a drama documentary in which the characters are first and indeed last historical figures - not means of exploring an issue through dialogue and interaction. The one truly meta passage involving a rather splendid version of the twist is perhaps an indication of a more impressionistic approach that might have paid greater dividends.Read more →
